Shorts Wrap awards a €1,000 production grant to support the creation of a filmmaker's next short film. To be eligible, simply submit your short film. The director and screenwriter must be the same person. The winning filmmaker receives the Golden Fountain Award, together with a €1,000 grant, which must be used for the production of their next short film.

The Golden Fountain Award is inspired by the iconic Singing Fountain in Košice and is presented during the Košice International Film Festival, taking place 11–13 December 2026 at the historic Kino Úsmev in Košice.

Dedicated to supporting short film creators, the festival combines film screenings, educational activities, and a curated selection of outstanding short films. Every film selected for the Official Selection also receives a €50 screening fee.

Beyond the festival, Shorts Wrap runs year-round initiatives, including masterclasses and mentoring programmes. The platform also keeps filmmakers informed about major festival deadlines and developments in the short film industry, including the Academy Awards® and the BAFTA Awards.
